One Prayer 2009

One Lord, One Faith, One Baptism,.......One Prayer.

A global movement of churches standing together to pray, fast, learn, and love others.

If God would answer One Prayer for the church, what would you pray? So far, almost one million believers have come together to explore the answer to that question while joining forces through shared teaching, fasting, prayer, and service to others. And as we experience unprecedented unity in the body of Christ, we’re seeing God work through His Church in amazing ways.

The above is from the website of ONE PRAYER in which nearly 2000 churches worldwide have joined together in an ecumenical demonstration of unprecedented Biblical ignorance. In order for the church, the body of Christ to achieve this unity spoken of in the above message, one must check your brain and convictions at the door because doctrine is not the issue whatsoever. Seriously, can you come into agreement with someone that holds to the belief that salvation is obtained through turning from your sin, confession of sin, asking Jesus into your heart, saying a prayer and begging for forgiveness, making Jesus Lord of your life? Could you hold hands and sing Kumbayah with someone that believes salvation cannot be sure until you get there? or salvation can be lost whereby you have to repeat the process to be saved again? Could you depend on their Biblical exegesis when everyone of the churches involved is engaged in dunking their membership in a tub of water to gain membership? What happened to the verse they use as a banner in which it states "one baptism" in Ephesians 4:5 which is a spirit baptism whereby the Holy Spirit baptizes us into the body of Christ? What about the churches involved in this demonstration of ecumenical boneheadedness that hold fast to several baptisms such as water and the second blessing blunder of a baptism IN the Holy Ghost? Hostillashundai! Yes, the Assemblies of God and the Church of God are involved in this goofy display of a doctrinal disaster area.

If you want to get sick on your stomach, read the testimonial section here and look carefully for a clear presentation of the Gospel that saves your never dying soul. Even worse, see if you can find any mention of the Gospel of the grace of God whatsoever. What you will find are nothing more than circumstantial statements of weak or no faith at all in what Christ has already accomplished on Calvary's cross. This is so sad and yet nearly 2000 churches are rejoicing in this so called unity. I can agree they are most defineatly unified in scriptural ignorance in which they fail to distinguish between the prophetic and the mystery program God has so clearly set forth in His word. Unity cannot be achieved through disregarding the doctines associated and directed to the church, which is His body. What they have is a union, not unity. The Apostle Paul, which God gave the message for this present dispensation of the grace of God tells us in Romans 16:17 to avoid those which do not adhere to the specific doctrines associated with the church, the body of Christ. Again in Philippians 3, Paul tells us to mark them which have it right and follow Paul because the rest are the enemies of the Gospel. So, according to these two passages, who are these folks engaged in this global movement called One Prayer?

  • Romans 16:17 Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them.
  • Romans 16:18 For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.

Good words and fair speeches. Does that mean like God is good, God is great kinda stuff? How about using Luke 15 and the prodigal son as a salvation message when the passage is actually speaking to Israel getting their promised kingdom demonstrating the delay principal? Using Luke 15 as a salvation message which is well before the Gospel of the grace of God was known by anybody is not only poor Biblical understanding, it is just corrupt from any perspective.

  • Philippians 3:17 Brethren, be followers together of me, and mark them which walk so as ye have us for an ensample.
  • Philippians 3:18 (For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ:

If these folks are what the Bible names as the enemies of the cross of Christ, we should all be weeping to according the next verse...

  • Philippians 3:19 Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.)

Ask any of them where in the scriptures do you turn to find the gospel of your salvation and you will be stunned. They will go to the OT book of John, Luke, even Exodus. Ask them about baptism and it will be water instead of the ONE BAPTISM of 1st Corinthians 12:13 by which we are identified with Christ's body. The doctrinal divisions are many in this organization and yet they are proclaiming unprecedented unity. It is obvious to us that rightly divide the word of truth according to Pauline doctrine the underlying problem in the modern church machinery. It is spelled out with clarity in....

  • 2 Corinthians 4:3 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:
  • 2 Corinthians 4:4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

We have our hands full in getting the Gospel out to those that are lost. Let's not be negligent in presenting the good news to those who claim to be a Christian forasmuch as we can discern the condition of their soul according to the word of God given to Paul for us. The Gospel of the grace of God according to 1st Corinthians 15: 1-4 is the power of God unto salvation. We present it, the word is the power.

Do you know what I would be if I wasn't a Mid Acts Pauline dispensational right divider of the KJB?

Ashamed.

2 Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

  1. The doctrine of Paul sets up division among all persons especially the Pauline doctrine that is mentioned in this article. Using the Doctrine of Paul we can always find something wrong with the other person or organization. The teachings of Jesus from the Gospels of Matthew and John are just the opposite. They promote Unity and cause us to look at our own inequities then realize that none of us are perfect. Jesus even gives a road map to overcome our inequities. If we are willing to take the time to listen. Paul on the other hand promotes an easy to follow theology that any one can justify. There is many things we can pick from his words and jump on his band wagon and separate ourselves from others.

  2. David, do you think that Paul just made these things up. Was Paul writing his opinion or is it the word of God? Peter himself states Paul's epistles are just as much scripture as what is written in red and even Peter knew that in his day, people were twisting his words as they are today. It is apparent that even you see the difference between what Jesus taught in His early ministry is different than what He taught Paul. At least you see a difference, most do not. You just fail to see that Israel was the nation that Jesus was addressing. Israel rejected Jesus' offer of the Kingdom and they have been set aside today.

  3. I get so active in looking and responding on other blogs, I tend to forget to check my own for activity and did not notice any responses to this post until today.

Faithplusnothing has it pegged correctly. What I see in David's response is a mindset that we have a choice in which scriptures pertain today as we operate in this present dispensation of the grace of God. Probably, people do not understand what a dispensation is to begin with and therefore the confusion. Think of a dispensation using the root of the word, a dispensing or to dispense. God did not dispense the information we need for doctrine until He gave it to Paul. Previously, while Jesus was on the earth ministering on the nation Israel for their Kingdom at hand message, our message was yet to be revealed and was kept secret until it was given to the Apostle Paul. The messages and doctrine are mutually exclusive and are not to be combined but instead, rightly divided as Paul states in 2nd Timothy 2:15. So David, I will respond and make no apology as to my rude speech. You can choose to follow Paul's doctrine given him by Christ for usward, or you can combine all the doctrines for Israel and the church, which is His body to your own destruction. That are your two choices. You also said Paul promotes an easy to follow theology, therefore I ask, If it is so easy then why do people including yourself find it so difficult to understand? Anyway, thanks for visiting my blog as I continue endeavor to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery.
